A Bit About Me
My name is Senator J.J. Dossett. I want you to know that I am honored to serve you all in the Oklahoma State Senate. I am a proud father, veteran, and product of our public schools. I followed in my parents’ footsteps and became a teacher at Owasso Public Schools. My love for our schools and our students is what inspired me to serve, and since I was elected, I have continuously championed our public schools as my chief priority.
Since I was first elected in 2016, I have fought tooth and nail for public education funding and policies that would support our students in the classroom. I’ve been instrumental in helping our veterans and military families gain access to the benefits they deserve and cracked down on minors’ access to nicotine products. I have

worked to remove unnecessary barriers for small businesses and to lower prescription drug costs. I’ve pushed for increased accountability and transparency in state government and fought for our way of life.
We’ve been able to accomplish a lot, and I’m proud of the work I’ve gotten done as your State Senator. I’ve taken hard votes and worked to build consensus. I’ve learned that both sides can work together, as we should. At the end of the day, I have been able to work collaboratively with my colleagues in this hyper-partisan environment to get things done.
I need your support to continue the WORK!
