Your Vote Matters!

Elected officials are making decisions that impact you every day. The roads you drive on, the resources your child's school receives, how easy or hard it is to access quality healthcare - are all functions of government. Voting is a valuable and important civic right.

  • When is Election Day?
Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Polls are open from 7 AM - 7 PM on Election Day.
  • How can I vote?
You may vote in person on Election Day at your polling location, vote early in person at your county election board, or by absentee mail (a.k.a. vote by mail). Oklahoma requires that you bring a valid state-issued ID (voter registration card, driver's license, or state ID card) or military ID.
  • Where is my polling location?
Your polling location can be found by checking your registration with the Oklahoma State Election Board. While searching for your polling location, we suggest that you double check your registration status closely for any corrections that need to be made.
  • How do I request an absentee ballot or ballot by mail?
You can request your absentee ballot online through the Oklahoma Voter Portal provided by the State Election Board. The deadline to request your absentee ballot is the third Monday (15 days) preceding the election before 5 PM. For the 2022 General Election, this deadline is Monday, October 24th by 5 PM.
  • Is everyone eligible to vote by mail?
Yes! To vote by mail in Oklahoma, you must apply for a ballot. This is the easiest way to never forget to vote. Applying online is fast, easy, and secure through the Oklahoma Voter Portal. You can ask for any ballot you can vote on for the calendar year. Even if you have requested to vote by mail previously, you must make a new request each year. For example, if you received your ballot by mail in 2020 or 2021, you must make a new request for 2022. The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the November general election is 5 PM on Monday, October 24, 2022.
